Amulet of Affinity

This shard of amethyst is psionically honed to be a perfect repository for energy. It is comprised of a lattice of particles which, when inert, are sensitive to metaphysical forces. When placed in a metaphysical energy field, the crystals align to that field; thereafter, it is possible to direct pure energy through the crystal, and form that energy into an exact duplicate of the original effect. This action resets the crystals to a neutral position.

• Effect: Each time you are subjected to a spell, psionic power, or spell-like ability, the crystal aligns itself to that power. Thereafter, you may, using the same action as the original spell, manifest a duplicate of that spell by expending 1 point of Energy per rank of the effect. Once you do, that particular effect is gone; to manifest it again, you would have to absorb it again. If the crystal is aligned to a certain effect, then you are subjected to a new effect, the crystal re-aligns to the new effect, and the original is gone.
